Sales Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Axiom Heritage. We are dedicated to preservation-quality breeding, sound structure, and empirical, science-based husbandry. To maintain the highest standards of health and safety for our herd and yours, all inquiries, reservations, and sales are governed by the following structural policies.
1. General Provisions & Sales Terms
Identification & Documentation: Every animal placed from Axiom Heritage is accompanied by an official, complete lineage pedigree and is permanently identified via microchip or tattoo prior to leaving our possession.
Finality of Sales: Due to the biological and biosecurity risks inherent in livestock management, all sales are strictly final. Axiom Heritage enforces a strict no-refunds, no-returns for credit, and no-exceptions policy once an animal has been transferred to the buyer or their designated agent. All health guarantees are strictly limited to replacement under the terms outlined in Section 2.
Right of First Refusal & Rehoming Protocol: Axiom Heritage is committed to the lifetime welfare of every animal we produce. To ensure our animals are never placed in unknown or unsuitable environments, the following requirements apply to all placements:
- Right of First Refusal: If you intend to rehome or sell an animal, Axiom Heritage retains a permanent Right of First Refusal. You must offer us the opportunity to purchase or reclaim the animal before any other transfer, sale, or rehoming takes place. This policy is intended to prevent our stock from entering the open market or unknown situations.
- Return to Breeder: Should you find yourself unable to keep an animal for any reason, or if an animal is no longer suitable for your home or program, you are required to contact Axiom Heritage immediately. We will always accept the return of any animal we have bred, at any time, to ensure they remain safe and appropriately housed.
2. Health Guarantees & Limited Replacement Policy
We take pride in the structural integrity and vitality of our animals. For our health guarantees to remain valid, the buyer must strictly adhere to the following baseline husbandry protocols:
- Quarantine Protocol: To preserve herd biosecurity, Axiom Heritage strongly advises a strict 30-day isolation and quarantine period for any new animal entering an established environment or rabbitry.
- Dietary Consistency: Gastrointestinal stability is critical during environmental transitions. Animals must be maintained strictly on the identical feeding regimen and density-based dry-pellet allocation specified by the breeder. Any sudden dietary modifications or unapproved feed transitions within the first 30 days will completely void all health guarantees.
- 30-Day Mortality Provision: In the unfortunate event that an animal expires within 30 days of the purchase date due to disease or accident, the breeder will replace it with an animal of equal or superior quality as soon as an eligible animal becomes available. Because Axiom Heritage maintains a rigorous, high-volume evaluation program where only the top tier of our herd is selected for placement, we stand fully behind our animals and prioritize long-term client relationships. Replacements are granted solely at the breederโs professional discretion.
- Required Proof of Loss: To qualify for an eligible replacement, verification must be submitted directly to the breeder within 48 hours of loss:
- Pet Placements: Requires a formal, signed written statement of death from a licensed veterinarian.
- Brood/Breeding Placements: The buyer must return the ear bearing the official tattoo directly to the breeder as physical verification of identity and loss.
- Show Eligible: We guarantee our breeding stock to be free of DQโs, and strive to present animals consistent with the standard of perfection. As such, if an animal is shown at an ARBA sanctioned event, and disqualified due to defect unrelated to injury we are happy to offer a replacement of equal value at the breeders discretion.
Surgical Complication Clause: For companion/pet placements, Axiom Heritage will provide a replacement animal if a rabbit is lost due to direct, immediate complications from a spay or neuter surgery, provided the procedure is performed by a licensed veterinarian prior to the animal reaching one (1) years of age.
3. Financial Terms & Deposit Structure
- Reservation Deposits: A non-refundable deposit equal to fifty percent (50%) of the total purchase price is required to hold any specific animal.
- Exception: This deposit is only refundable if the animal passes away or sustains a debilitating injury while remaining under the direct care of the breeder, and only if the buyer declines to apply the balance to an alternative animal or future litter.
Pet Spay/Neuter Deposit: To promote responsible pet ownership, companion animal placements require an additional $150.00 deposit. This fee is held in trust by the breeder. This deposit will be forwarded in full to the veterinarian of the buyers choice on booking a spay/neuter appointment. We recommend scheduling it for as early as your vet is comfortable performing it, and must be done by one (1) year of age or the deposit is forfeit and the guarantee is terminated.

4. Logistics, Boarding, & Transport
- Pickup Timeline: Formal pickup or transport must be executed within two (2) weeks of the animalโs official date of availability.
- Boarding Fees & Forfeiture: If pickup does not occur within the initial two-week window, a boarding fee of $5.00 per day will be assessed for a maximum extension of ten (10) days. If the animal is not collected by the conclusion of this 10-day extension, the reservation deposit is entirely forfeited, the sale is canceled, and the animal will be remitted to the waitlist. All accrued boarding fees must be settled in full before the animal leaves the premises.
- Third-Party Couriers: If a third-party transport service is utilized, the entire outstanding balance must be paid in full and cleared via our accounting system before the animal is transferred to the courier.
Third-Party Transport & Regional Courier Hubs
If you are utilizing a third-party courier that requires the breeder to meet them along their travel route, we offer scheduled drop-offs at designated regional hubs for a fixed transport fee:
- Salmon Arm Hub (Local Run): $30.00
- Vernon Hub: $75.00
- Kamloops Hub (Costco): $95.00
Equipment & Carrier Requirements
All animals leaving the possession of the breeder via a third-party courier must travel in an approved, secure, and sanitary transport carrier. The buyer is responsible for ensuring the courier has an appropriate carrier baseline, or they may purchase a transport carrier directly from Axiom Heritage.
